Professional Staff

Rosalie Borgardts, Paralegal

Rosalie Borgardts has over 13 years of extensive litigation and trial experience. She assists the attorneys and our clients in all aspects of the legal process. Her experience including many different types of cases such as personal injury, wrongful death, product liability, medical malpractice and car and trucking collision cases. She has assisted in handling cases in Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Oklahoma, Michigan, Washington and Florida.

Rosalie has a B.A. from Seattle University and a Paralegal Certificate from Bentley College in Waltham, Massachusetts. She has continued her education through many seminars and conferences throughout the United States. Rosalie has been a member of American Association for Justice (AAJ), formerly known as ATLA since 1997. She is also a member of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association and the Kansas City Paralegal Association.

Rosalie is a member of Platte Woods United Methodist Church and Boy Scouts of America. She enjoys spending time with her three children at their many sporting events at Park Hill High School. She and her husband are also Kansas City Chiefs football fans.

Whitney Cook, Paralegal

Whitney concentrates her areas of practice on serious car and trucking accidents, medical malpractice, and commercial litigation. Whitney was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. She attended Oak Park High School then earned a degree in Business Marketing from Missouri Western State University. While at Missouri Western, Whitney worked for Flourish! for where she wrote and edited articles as well as researched and planned for different events around the state.
 

Sandra Hull, R.N., Medical Analyst

Many of our cases involve medical issues, and they are always important. Sandra provides the dual resources of a knowledgeable in-house review and education of our other professionals, and the ability to research and retain consulting experts such as physicians and nurses when testimony is needed.

Sandra is a member of the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants; Kansas City Legal Nurse Consultants; The Association of Trial Lawyers of America and The Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association. She has co-authored articles on obstetrical negligence for Trial Magazine and the Journal of Legal Nurse Consulting. Sandra is a regular guest speaker for the Legal Nurse Consultant program at Johnson County Community College.

Sandra's nursing experience began in the area of medical-surgical nursing. An interest in labor and delivery led her to The University of Kansas Medical Center, where she specialized in high risk obstetrics. Sandra holds a Certificate, High Risk Obstetrics, from the University of Kansas Medical Center, 1989 and an ADN degree from Central Missouri State University and Penn Valley Community College, 1984.

Becky Heinrichs

Floy Keithley

Floy Keithley is our Office Coordinator and is the first person to greet and welcome you when you visit our office. She attended Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas and has had a long career working in an office environment. She has extensive experience in the life and disability insurance fields serving a large insurance agency as receptionist, administrative assistant and New Business Coordinator over a period of 32 years. Immediately prior to joining our firm, she spent over eight years in the pork industry as an office assistant and receptionist in the corporate office of Premium Standard Farms in Kansas City. She attends Kearney United Methodist Church and enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Pam Bousquet, Legal Secretary

Pam exemplifies the term, "Professional Legal Secretary."
Pam knows that she is the channel for the important work we do for our clients. And she never lets anyone down. Among other responsibilities, Pam coordinates scheduling and logistics for Rich McLeod's ADR activities.

Jay Schwarz, Investigator

We have to go to the evidence; the evidence rarely comes to us. And Jay Schwarz has the background, personality and experience to find the evidence and bring it back.

Jay had a successful career in risk management and the insurance industry before entering the investigation field. That background equipped him perfectly to seek out the answer to this question in our litigation matters: "What's important?"

Often, witnesses are less than eager to become involved in a lawsuit; their feelings are motivated by a combination of fear and distrust. Jay answers both those concerns. He is gentle, open, honest and persistent. Bullying doesn't work in the long run, but charm does. And at times Jay becomes a constant companion to important witnesses, insuring that they maintain the courage and stamina to do the right thing.
